The gang starts their adventure on an onion farm in Kula, Maui, where they learn why the temperature and soil make their onions the sweetest in the world. Later, Chef Bryan Ashlock of Sheraton Maui Resort makes use of the 50 pound bag the farmers donated by spooning creative bites of delicious toppings on a spoon of raw maui onion. The day is capped off with a trip the the 14th annual Maui Onion Festival at Whalers Vllage. Food and fun dominate the scene along with magicians, artists, an oinion recipe contest…and the world famous onion eating contest….YUK!
