Join Cutty and gang at the K’aanapali Beach Hotel as they learn the
history of the Taro plant, which produces one of Hawaii’s cultural
favorites and very nutritional dishes…poi. Then the kids learn and
practice some of Hawaii’s most ancient games still used in competition
today. Later in the day, it’s off to “fire-dancing” practice where the
kids learn about the art of Polynesian fire knife dancing from Chief Fa’a
of the Hyatt Maui. (Of course… they don’t practice with real fire). Later
in the evening, the gang gets treated to a Luau Hula show culminating with
Chief Fa’a;s fire knife extravaganza.
